BitLife has a number of mini-games, but the original (and still the best, in our opinion) is the prison break game, in which you have to play a puzzle game to get out of prison. It used to be that getting out of prison via escape was purely a game of chance, and that the chances of getting out of prison were slim to none.
However, now that there is a minigame to get out of prison, you actually have a chance at determining your own fate. It’s you, the map of the prison, the prison guard who’s out to get you, and that’s it.
The prison map differs depending on whether you are in a minimum, medium, or maximum security prison. Minimum and medium security prisons have maps that are relatively easy to get through. Maximum security prisons range between hard and nearly impossible to escape from, with much, much larger maps and more twists and turns.
Your goal is to outmaneuver the prison guard so that you can get out, and then continue your life without having to throw it away by staying in prison. We have all of the maps and solutions collected, and we are constantly monitoring for updates so that we can add more of them.
So if you get to a specific prison map and you don’t see it in this article, check to see if any of the other videos are flipped, rotated, or mirrored versions of the prison that you’re stuck on.

How to get arrested and thrown into jail or prison:
First, before we talk about how to get out of prison, let’s talk about how to go to prison, or jail, because there are many ways that you can find yourself locked up.
These include responding in the dumbest way possible to pop-up situations, using the “crime” tab to commit one of many crimes, going AWOL from the military, and many others. There are also many choices of who to target in the Crime tab, like family, friends, or random people. Even if you are a famous celebrity or a social media star, going to prison can immediately end your career, but you can escape and get it going again.
Ribbons that require you to escape from Prison:
There are multiple ribbons that require you to escape from prison in order to earn them.

How to escape from every prison in BitLife:
NOTE: All of the following maps apply to medium and minimum security prisons. Click here for a guide and videos for all of the maximum security prisons in BitLife.
3×4 Map
This Map is the 3×4 tiny prison break map. This is the easiest of the prison maps, so if this is the first one you got, count yourself lucky. Literally, all that you have to do to break out of this one is to trap the guard in the one possible place to trap him, as shown above.
5×7 Map
The next prison is the 5×7 or 7×5 level shown above.
This is one of the more wall-filled maps out there. The guard has three main corners to work through and one small corner separated from the main roads.
So your goal is to work around the guard and the walls, maneuver wisely so that the guard does not catch you, and then get to the exit before the guard hunts you down. It’s almost as easy to do as it sounds.
5×7 Second Map
This is easily one of the tougher levels that you’re going to have to deal with. You’re going to have to lure the guard almost all the way across the perimeter of the level, and then lure him back until you get him trapped in just the right way so that you can escape.
Remember that the guard will always make the horizontal move first, and if there is no horizontal move available, the guard won’t come after you. Then you will be able to slide past the guard and make it to the exit.
5×6 Map
This one is the 5×6 prison.
Unlike the first map, this one features only four walls total. That makes it so that the guard has a lot more space to move, but that also makes it so that you have a lot of space to move.
That means that, in addition to what you see in this video, there are a variety of other routes, and other methods of manipulating the guard, that can get you out of prison.
But to keep things simple, stick to the one that you see in this video and you will get out every time.
5×5 Map
Here we have the 5×5 prison.
This one is chock full of right angle walls and looks impossible at first because all that the guard has to do is not move, and he’ll get you every time.

But this video demonstrates how to trick the guard into getting out of the way.
Yes, there is no way that you can get out of this level just by relying on the guard to stay in the current position that they are in now.
But being that it’s fairly easy to trick the guard into doing whatever you want, this level is much easier to beat than you might think it is.
7×4 Map
Expand this to view the 7×4 or 4×7 prison.
This one shows a prison with only two U-shaped walls and nothing else in it. This makes it a little bit easier to escape from because you have a ton of space to work with.
This level is a good combination of two things: Like with the previous one stated above, you have a lot of space to work with in order to escape.
But unlike some of the easier levels, you can trap the guard easier due to having a few more walls.
6×5 Map
Expand this window to see a 6×5 prison level.
This one only has three L-shaped walls and two single walls, so there is a lot of space to work with, although not quite as much as the previous one. Still, more than easy enough to trick the guard.
Compared to other levels, this one has some more walls and different wall positions than others, which makes it arguably easier to beat because you have more places to hide. All that you have to do is shoot from the shadows to win this one.
6×6 Map
The 6×6 prison map gives a lot of room to work with. But there are also a ton of walls in here, so the guard has a lot of space to trap you. But this video walkthrough shows you how to trick the guard.
Essentially, you have to trick the guard into getting stuck behind one of the many walls on this level. Get them stuck and then play whatever side level you can think of that pops up next.
6×6 Second Map
Another version of the 6×6 map but with a different layout.
This one, as you can see, has a completely absurd number of walls. Basically, you have to get the guard to chase you all over the level until they follow you to the one square that is surrounded by three walls and one opening. And you have to be super careful not to get caught in the process.
Once you finally do trap the guard there, then you have to run all the way back across the path that you came from, in such a way as to keep the guard stuck behind the wall. Then only when you close in on the entrance should the guard escape from his little enclosure.
5×4 Map
This 5×4 map is almost as easy as the 3×4 map earlier in the article. Literally, all that you have to do with this one is to move straight out so that you can trap the guard behind the only wall that blocks his path to the exit.
Remember, the guard always wants to move horizontally first, and if the guard has no path to move to you horizontally, they won’t move at all. So take advantage of this to leave the guard marooned behind the wall and exit the map.
4×4 Map
The above is from a 4×4 prison map.
A map with a single right angle. The right angle just happens to be where the guard is. But you can fairly easily trick the guard by imitating this video.
3×5 Map
This 3×5 map is a nice and easy one. There is literally only one wall in the entire map. This may make it look tougher at first, compared to maps with more walls.
However, there is a simple solution. Just trick the guard into marooning himself behind the one wall, as shown in the video, and he’ll lose one step, and one step is all that you need.
4×4 Second Map
On the second 4×4 map, the guard seems to have the advantage, but take advantage of the horizontal aspect and the guard is easy to trap in the three-wall enclosure. Simply get them stuck there and you’ll easily be able to get out of prison and be free.
4×4 Third Map
More than any of the other 4×4 maps, this requires you to essentially lead the guard completely around the level in order to get them trapped. Luckily, though, considering the tiny floor space in this map, it doesn’t take long to trap the guard, so the back-and-forth goes by extremely quickly.

So how do you stay out of prison? Two easy ways to do so. Emigrating is one of them. If you get a record in one country, then you go and move to another country, then the record won’t follow you.
Getting a gender reassignment surgery is the other one, or at least it can be. Get that done and change your name as well, and all of a sudden the government doesn’t recognize the old version of you that has done so much time.
Also, these maps often appear flipped over, so if you see one that you don’t recognize from this post, then instead try turning your phone upside down to see if you recognize it that way.
